Costs
Your employer covers the costs of counseling and job placement. You are responsible for paying the actual costs of emergency child care and emergency nursing care arranged through the program, individual child care and nursing care, and self-organized vacation care; these costs may be reimbursed in full or in part by your employer afterward as part of a personal credit budget.
For group child care arranged for work-related reasons (training, work-related events, overtime, and business trips), your employer will cover the costs up to a maximum of €4,000.00 per year.
For young professionals, students, and trainees, the following generally applies: All costs for information, counseling, and placement are covered. Your employer also covers the costs of necessary and additional childcare for the children of junior staff during periods relevant to their training that take place outside the training department, for students during on-campus semesters or on-campus phases, and for trainees throughout the entire duration of the trainee program.
Note
If you use short-term child care and nursing care or individualized child care and nursing care, you must pay the cost of €34.00 (childcare/elder care) per hour (all prices include 19% VAT; changes to the VAT rate will be reflected accordingly). You will be billed for the costs by awo lifebalance. You are responsible for the full cost of self-organized vacation care. If applicable, you can have your Internal Service staff reimburse you for these costs within the limits of your personal credit budget. For more information, please contact your internal service staff.
Share of Cancellation Costs
If you cancel short-term child care, short-term nursing care, or individualized care for your children or relatives in need of care, you will be charged cancellation fees on a sliding scale, which you are responsible for paying. For the exact cancellation policy, please refer to the document titled “Care Agreement” under the “Forms for Download” section.
If you cancel group child care, you will be charged a flat-rate cancellation fee of €40.00. The decision regarding your cancellation fee is the sole responsibility of the Internal Personnel Services department. For more information, please contact your assigned Internal HR representative.
Tax and Social Security Obligations
The childcare costs covered by your employer are generally subject to income tax and social security contributions. Short-term childcare expenses incurred for work-related reasons are exempt from income tax and social security contributions up to a limit of €600.00 (Section 3, No. 34a, letter b of the Income Tax Act (EStG)). Any childcare costs exceeding this amount must be added to the salary as a non-cash benefit. Benefits for vacation care of school-age children are subject to full tax and social security contributions without any exemption limit. Information for the Family Services Marketing Department
To promote the services included in Lot 1 within your agency, you can download marketing materials (flyers and posters) from this page.
According to the specifications, there were five different modules to choose from, which each user could freely select and combine. Depending on which modules your agency has booked, we have prepared corresponding flyers for each combination of modules. For example: If your agency has booked Modules 1 and 2, you can download the flyer labeled accordingly from the download list (see below).
- In addition, all flyers are available in an accessible text version and as a print file
- You can use the accessible text version for your digital communications, such as for sending via email or posting on your agency’s intranet.
- You can download the print file if you’d like to print it yourself.

The counselors at awo lifebalance will be happy to provide you with comprehensive information about funding options and will take your financial expectations into account as much as possible when arranging care services.
Accessibility
For us, accessibility is a central component of our consulting services. Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals can access our services via video consultation—including live captions. In addition, we ensure that our services are technically accessible, use clear and understandable language, and provide the option to receive counseling materials in writing. You can let us know about any special needs when you call our hotline so that the consultation is as accessible, understandable, and equitable as possible.

Of course, we treat all information you provide about yourself and your family members as confidential. We process this information in accordance with data protection regulations and store it only for as long as necessary for internal processing.
